Playfully twirling in the fog, this tree seemed to embody the essence of a little girl with pigtails enjoying the morning.

About the Artist
Shanda seeks to capture glimpses of life’s song that she sees in the world around her. The authenticity and wonder of that song is such an elusive and ephemeral melody to capture and the pursuit of it will take more than a lifetime. It’s the thrill of the chase and those moments of glimpsing wonder that draw her in. Can you see the colours with colours and the drama of shadow and light that she does? To express those mysteries makes her soul sing. Whether she’s seeking to express something fresh and new or aged with passing time, there is a fierce and gentle beauty in so many parts of the song.
